Edamame firmly believes in corporate social and environmental responsibility and serves as a proud partner to charities CMRF Crumlin, Depaul, Pieta House and Seal Rescue Ireland. We partner on a project called "Coffee with a cause" cup. It's a bamboo fibre coffee cup designed by local artists in aid of different charities.
Each of the cup is crafted from bamboo fibre, the world’s fastest growing and most sustainable crop and feature a recyclable silicon lid and sleeve. They are BPA and phthalate free without petrochemical plastic and are dishwasher safe.
The idea of the "Coffee with a cause" is to collaborate with the local community and charity in support of both environmental as well as social cause. A renowned street artist and social activist, Joe Caslin donated his very well-known print ‘Root before we rise’ for the Coffee with a cause bamboo cup for Pieta house.
The Dublin photographer Gavin Leane donated his print ‘A good time for change’ to Depaul and this cup was designed by a 7 year old girl called Una CMRF Crumlin.
This project inspired us to launch a "Bottle with a cause" designed by Joe Caslin in aid of Pieta's Darkness into Light walk.
The Seal Rescue Ireland is our latest collaboration. We launched a competition in five schools around the country and the winning design got printed on a bamboo cup and a stainless steel water bottle.
